South Mountain Freeway ITS Lead/ITS Design

YSMA served as the ITS Lead (sub-consultant to WSP) representing the Design Build Team of Connect202 Partners for 22 mile freeway project, the largest design-build project in the Southwestern US.

  • Design integration of legacy system along I-10
 
  • Created construction sequencing plan as per ADOT’s strict downtime requirements
 
  • Reviewed interdisciplinary inputs to optimize design functionality, construction, and cost
 
  • Designed ITS elements: DMS Signs, CCTV cameras, ramp meters, detectors stations, wrong way driver detection cameras, node buildings and  fiber optic communication networks.
